If you have your own scanner and scanning software but are not pleased with your results
you may want to check the following:


-Resolution -- your images should have 1.5 to 2 times the lines-per-inch that the job will be printed at

-Sizing -- try to do any sizing in Photoshop…not in the application software

-Mode -- color scans should be set to CMYK not RGB

-Compression -- LZW or JPEG compression can cause output problems

-Unsharp Mask -- Use sparingly, watch for artifacts along edges of objects in photo
